New bumper cover went on pretty easily. A couple of difficult bolts to get to but we figured it out and then everything went well. Definitely need a swivel joint for a couple of the bolts. I noticed the new cover (not OEM) does not have a recessed place on the front to stick the Pontiac emblem. I'm assuming the contour of the new bumper cover would be the same and would allow me to stick it on there non-recessed?

It was an eBay auction where they will paint and ship it out. My insurance adjuster did mention that reproduction covers do not have a place for an emblem when he wrote it up. I forgot he said that and was surprised when it came without one. They did a great job on the paint by the way if anybody needs to do this down the road. Just one small knick probably due to shipping which will be easy to touch up.

cant you just use the old one? also, have you ever considered an 02+ SE bumper? that would have been a good opportunity to change it out I dislike the 00-01 SE front bumpers reminds me of a Ford T-bird/burd sp? whatever the hell it is.

How do you get the old one off without destroying it?
