Default Buick LeSabre issues....many

2000 LeSlobber 119k miles
new plat plugs, new wires, Mobil 1 oil and filter, new Fram fuel filter, clean K&N air filter in gutted , swiss cheese box.

The car has an intermitent rough idle. I plan to remove and clean TB and MAF. Other than dump FI cleaner in the tank, any other ideas? Tranny or motor mount maybe?

Headlamps...car is equipped with auto lamps and DRL. All work fine. However, lights remain on for 20 minutes after key is shut off regardless of the time delay selected on the sentinel setting. Can I disconnect the DRL or a fuse to remedy this?

Cruise control...it will only work if you keep holding down the button on the steering wheel while setting the cruise. When the button is released, the cruise shuts off.

Car shirfts into reverse or drive harshly. I will be doing a filter and fluid chg for the tranny. Other suggestions?

Lets start with those for now. This was grandmas car that she gave to my 15 year old daughter. We are fixing it up for her to drive when she turns 16.

Thx,

Dean

Try doing a seafoam clean before the oil. 1/3 can in vacuum line near throttle body, 2/3 car in the fuel tank. Inspect yoru plugs and wires. Doing the transmission fluid and filter change is a good start. Let'* see where that gets us.

Also, Welcome to the Bonneville forum.

Unfortunately I have $30 worth of oil in there with 20 miles on it. I may hold off on that for now. I could always drain it and catch it, and just put crappy dino in it for the seafoam/ engine top clean.

Which port do I use to suck it in there?

I use the line on the vacuum tree right by the throttle body.
