I am looking for feed back on what type, or brand of replacement disc brake pades and rotors people have been happy with. it'* for a 2004 SE with about 75,000 miles. Thanks.

I have drilled and slotted rotors from R1 concepts, very happy with them. As for pads, I've been running ceramic pads from autozone, about $29 a set and still have a lot of meat on them.

OEM rotors from Auto Zone/O Reilly should suffice everyday driving. Same goes with pads, just as long as they are ceramic and not metallic. God do I hate metallics.

I have napa ceramics all the way around and rotors from advance auto and autozone

EBC Drilled and Slotted and EBC Ceramic Pads. Love em!!!! Those ceramic pads grab better than a dirty old man at a sorority party!

I have been using the Raybestos pads at Rockauto. I stay away from the retail store discs and pads as they are often made in China of poor quality. In 2003 I put Chinese rotors and pads on my 1997 Bravada and had to take them off, no way to get the screech out. Spent a lot of time trying to eliminate the screech, replaced the again, then the rotors again, and ended up putting USA made brake parts on the Bravada which corrected the problem.

Raybestos also sells "loaded pads" which includes the pads are installed on rebuilt calipers. If you need to replace the calipers- this is a nice configuration.

Did you happen to put metallic pads on the Bravada? I've never had a screeching problem from a set of ceramic pads that I got at O Reilly.

I was living at Ft Bragg and very poor, put on the cheapest pads and rotors (which were made in China). Can't recall what they were, but I learned to only buy good brake parts as the screech was unbearable.

When I replaced the rear rotors on my wife'* Bravada last year, KI discovered the calipers needed replacement. Went to Autozone and could not find a matching pair. They had more than 2 rear calipers, but all were re-manufactured by different firms using different parts. I wanted to match my rear brakes with like parts, but was unable to. After installing the unmatched rear calipers, I discovered what was called a loaded brake pad which are calipers with pads installed. Just bolt them on, connect the brake line, bleed the caliper and the job is done.

That'* because Auto Zone is full of fail. God I hate that store so much. I only get my repair parts from O Reilly. They are the next best thing to OEM parts you can buy.
