Default Blower motor problems

The blower motor on my parent'* 2001 is acting up. It only runs on low speed when in "automatic" mode and does not change speed when the temperature is changed. Further, the blower does not operate in manual mode [and does not respond to the blower motor speed adjustment button]. Is there a blower motor controller between the computer and the blower? The motor is working (albeit at low speed in auto mode) and the computer seems to be sending the singal (the leds light).

Thanks,

Dan

Default RE: Blower motor problems

Well, it fixed itself :?: . I think this problem might be similar to the dash problem where the speedometer stopped working, then just as suddenly started working again. Evidently, it is a loose or bad connection problem. Does this sound familar?

Thanks,

Dan

Come to think of it, I've noticed some strange things with my blower from time to time while in auto climate only. It always responds to manual speed control.
