Good morning guys, I am wondering for a good replacement battery for my bonne, I noticed while cleaning under my back seat, some corrosion on cable heads and minor leaking around bottom and side of battery. Is it wise to use a front cable mounting Optima yellow/red top battery?..Or is there any other battery manufactures you guys can recommend.
Any help would be greatly appreciated....

You will need to ensure the battery has the proper venting for under seat mounting.

Not easy to find a direct replacement other than gm original.
Silverbullet has a red top in his 2k+, I'm not sure what size or model number he went with?

Do a search in the 2000 forum and you'll find a few discussions on it

i got the $99.99 battery from Autozone, with 7 year warranty.. works great

that is 99.00 without tax...so around 111.00 or more with applicable taxes. I will have to fork over the money this evening to get one.There is an Autozone right across the street from my home. I've seen the instructions for replacing the battery in the 2000 forum. So I will tackle this task after work..thanx again....

Stock item for me at Pep Boys here in Joliet about 6 months ago for I think the same price. Easy to change also.

I got one from Advance Auto Parts. It was in stock, also at $99.99. It was rather dusty, and about 7 months old. :?
