I found one online (Parts at Brasington, I think) for $150 or so. Expensive still, but nice to have. You'll probably want to check out walmart'* hardware department (or sears, or home depot) and for a couple of bucks get yourself the nozzles that attach to the air hose so you can use it on an air mattress, raft, beachball, or whatever. Otherwise, all you can do is inflate tires with it. I was really surprised also that it didn't come with jumper cables.
ROTFLMAO!!! It comes with a poncho, but not jumper cables?! That'* sad.

That is probably a good thing. I can guaruntee you that more people know how to use a poncho (it is quite obvious that you just put it on) then know how to use jumper cables. And half the people (or more) that know how to use jumper cables probably couldn't figure out how to use them on a Bonneville where the battery isn't under the hood. But jumper cables are expensive, and would cost a lot of money for GM to put in the cars, that is what the little blue button on the mirror is for.

Yeah, I remember the first time I looked under the hood of my 2000 SSEi and thought "WOW...then thought "something just doesn't look right here". After a while, I figured out that the battery was missing. If the manual didn't detail the location, I'm not sure I would have ever looked under the rear seat for it.

I bought my Bonne used aslo and it did not have the kit in it. I went to the dealer to see if they came in the 03 SSEi'*. I looked at one in the showroom and it did not have one. I would hope that they would not be an item you would hae to purchase seperate.

If you just want the hose & fittings, see http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...pic.php?t=7351
If you want the whole kit, see http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=248

You've got a lot more faith in Humanity than I do. I remember people in Basic Training having to be told how to put on a Pancho. Probably should have got out then...

...according to the options/specifications sheets[5 pages]on the '03 Bonneville(downloaded from the Pontiac web-site),..the Trunk Air Inflation Recpticle is standard on the SSEi'* and not available on the SLE'* or SE'*,...and the Trunk Emergency Kit is available(not standard issue)on the SSEi'* and not available on the SLE'* or SE'* [..guess I was lucky when I just bought my '00 SSEi,...the trunk kit was there and it was all intact, looked like it was never even touched]

The trunk kit is now an extra cost option.

It'* just one of apparently many things (among others, the passenger compartment air filter element) that used to be included that now cost extra. would be interesting to see a list comparing new to a few years back.

O well. Progress??
