What are people doing about the 2000+ Bonnevilles with rear ride height leveling? I have a buddy who'* compressor stopped starting up on his car and the rear end is sagging pretty bad and we're trying to figure out what to do. The compressor simply doesn't start anymore. Are there affordable replacement compressors? Are there stiffer shocks you can put in there in place of the air shocks to bypass the compressor entirely?

You can use air shocks that have manual fill. That is the least expensive alternative. They have air lines that go to a Schaeder valve, and you fill them up with a compressor (such as at a gas station if you don't have one), or deflate them by pushing in on the valve.
u can get a conversion kit to switch to struts for about $300 from strutmasters, com
u can also get a compressor from a dealer or head to the JY... a compressor from many vehicles should work. Like Caddy SLS, CTS, Buicks and Olds

Monroe airline kits..can be found specific to your car. Air shocks (factory) are maybe $30 each. Airline kit is another $20.
Dunno bout you guys..I'd be manually fillin.

Link to the kit.http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...21-109719484-2 From Advance Auto ,about $16. Used compressors are about $20 at the u-pull.
I don't believe there are any replacements for the shocks that allow you to use an aftermarket air system. That is unless I looked in all the wrong places. Couldn't find a single shock that was compatible that also had a different fitting on it other than the factory air fitting. My rear air ride is now back to stock thanks to Gunner'* car.
You could however use AirLift helper springs and a compressor if you want manual fill. RockAuto has the air springs that fit our cars.

I dont have the factory air ride system. I have air struts and a Bonnevile air pump which does'nt have the air leveling arm on it. I have stock springs (soft ride) which are not sagging. The air pump was $12.50 and got the struts new for $25ea if i remember correctly. Planning on mounting the pump in the eng bay so i won't have to find a pump to refill the shocks when needed. Just ordered the air line kit today.
