I'm sure that there are some good sunroof places out there. If you go this route I would definitly would find a shop that will gurantee there work/product for life of car. I would just be scared to watch the guy who cuts the hole. I could just see him there standing on the roof With a chain saw in hand and he has a BIG SMILE on his face.
I heard of this place called Diversified in Schaumburg that specialize in installing new car sunroofs. I was going to take the 97 up there and they told me it would be almost 3 days to complete and $1000 with a 3 or 4 year warrenty. Nice, but I have one on the 93 now.

Ok...got more info on the company..

http://www.webasto.us/home/en/homepage.html

The warranty is provided by the manufacturer (see above) and you have to go to an authorized service center for repairs and claims. The warranty is good for the life of the vehicle, but is not transferrable. It covers parts and labor, and damage in the event of equipment failure due to poor installation or defects. The model is the Hollandia 300 Large * Soft-touch. The cost is $980 including tax and it will take 2 days to install it and get my car back.

I am contacting my insurance company, my extended warranty company for the bonneville, and a couple of previous customers of this place (with this product) that live in the area.
