Default Aftermarket Combination Fog/Driving Light Install-56K Beware

I finally got up off of my lazy duff and installed a set of CATZ CSD lamps this weekend on the Bonneville. The CSD lamps are combination driving and fog lamps. Both functions of the lamp work very well and really light up the night. I will have to wait until there is some nasty weather to put the fog lamp to the test but under clear conditions it lights up the side of the road with no difficulty. Overall I am pleased with the lamps both functionally and esthetically.

Here is a picture of the lamp as shipped to me from a seller on eBay.

Tools needed to fabricate custom switch panel that went into the small change compartment located in the dash.

Unpainted custom fabricated switch panel. This was pretty easy to fabricate, just tool a little time and care when sanding the styrene cutout of the dash opening.

Installed switchplate in dash looks halfway decent. I mixed some Model Maser black and grey enamel paint together to obtain a close color match to the graphite interior color.

Picture of the lamps installed on the car, early in the morning and not a very good picture.

Night picture with the fog lamp function of the CATZ CSD lamps turned on.

Overall the project was not that difficult and required virtually no damage to the car. The only damage came where I spliced into the parking light wire and went through the wiring grommet in the firewall.

Either a storage pocket if you don't have HUD, or if you have HUD, then it'* the controls for it.

I have a few BS shots up against a garage door but I can do some shots on an open road. What type of road would you like the shots on, back road 2 lane or on a 4 lane divided highway?

Nice work, i used the compartment for my fog/angel eye switch as well, i dremmeled the bezel off of the old compartment, smoothed it out and epoxied it to a piece of ABS plastic i had around to make my switch plate.
