Default 4T65E Shift Kit

I see that ZZP, 3800performance and intense has shift kits available.

I was also told that PDXGTP also knows how to make one from Lowe'*/Home Depot.

I was...
1.) looking for directions to install the shift kit (already changed the fluid and filter, so I know it'* right there somewhere) and 2.) looking for some opinions on why one is better than the other.

I am currently having issues with my Pressure Control Solenoid and the shift kit seems like a much cheaper fix.

I would be comfortable with this if I knew which 4 bolts and also how the lines attach to the shift modulator. Do they just slide out?

BTW -- Thanks for the link. I was looking for that!!

I installed the kit just 3 hours ago. I couldn't figure out which 4 and ended up taking out 6 before it loosened up, when reinstalling only had 4. You just have to kind of do it as you go to figure out the 4. The key is to not take them all out so you can dissemble on the bench.

Personally, the intense kit is by far the best one. I've installed several different types and I like the intense kit best. The write up actually tells you how long the spacers are, so you could actually make your own kit.

Wish I would have known about Intense. Just visited their web-site and their kit appears generations above ZZP'*.

It does cost a lot more, but comes with new stronger springs, and new O rings. The shift is a bit faster and firmer then other kits.

I have the Intense shift kit. It was easy to install. the only problem I had is that my modulator cover was struck by both pistons and had indentations near the O ring grooves. I had to replace the cover, but it was pretty cheap. I like the shifts now!

Anybody run the TransGo kit?
Not looking for shift performace, just trying to eliminate harsh shifts

I made my own shift kit for $1.62 yesterday. I can let you know how it works tomorrow, if everything goes well.
