I was just reading in High Performance Pontiac about the 2004 GTP. They've redesigned the SC with larger outlet, and requires 13% less power to run the impellers. The HP is supposed to be 260 for next year. Not bad.
I wonder if it will be something you could bolt up to the previous engines. Anyone have any inside info?

I already did it. Actually while I was at it I perfected cold fusion. You know its funny once you see the light it all makes sense and then it’* just a matter of pulling the trigger.
Yeah that’* it??
Actually I believe that it can be done. I have to say most of the limitations on product are based on the cost and the ability to provide options at the right price.
The fact is you CAN swap a roots type SC on the non sc block but you will have to mess around quite a bit to do so. The interesting fact is the cost to do that or buy a centrifugal sc, a turbo, or new sc engine for swap will be around the same. Sooo I guess it depends on what your preference is.
So as for the reason for the post. Yes you can swap it over and if you want I can just take you to the top with a intake manifold/ intercooler that will let you swap a twin screw sc on to your car much like the 600hp Bonneville. This way you get to keep the roots torque with the extra power. My favorite option. Anything is possible, You just have to pay for it. Cost is always the issue.
