Default 2003 SLE Fan/AC Noise

My Fan sounds a little like a jet engine. I've had the car for 2 months now. The first 3 weeks it was quiet. Then I noticed a hum that seems to come from the right side when the fan is on high. I opened the hood and noticed a plastic door that is near the windshield. Looks like it should have some kind of filter in it.
The noise bugs me cause it'* a new car. It'* really not that bad.
Anyone know anything about it.

Hef.

Default Fan noise

Mine does it too, it sounds like when you were a kid and put a playing card on your bicycle. It is a bit annoying. I have yet to figure it out either.

You sure that it isn't the trademark sound of your compressor when the a/c is on? I have a sound like that too in my car. I thought it was normal.

I don't notice this on either of my cars. Your fans have two speeds. 1 when the AUTO feature is selected on the climate control. This is low-speed. The other is high speed which the computer kicks in at about 215 degrees F. Do you notice the sound at both speeds?

I plan to take it to the dealer, just wanted to see what others thought.
I'm not talking about the radiator fan, just the air circulation system. When on Auto, the fan starts out on high speed to give you the quickest cooling time, then backs off on its own when the temp cools down. Doesnt matter if you run Auto or Manual fan, if its on one of the higher settings you really hear the noise.
I'll bring it in and let you all know what happens.

Ah, my bad...yea the compartment under the hood should have a filter in it. Its easy to pull out and stick back in...maybe you have something rolling around in it?
