2002 SSEI RADIO DISPLAY

MY 2002 SSEI RADIO DISPLAY IS VERY DIM ESPECIALLY AT THE LEFT SIDE OF THE DISPLAY...ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS ISSUE...HAS ANYONE RECTIFIED THIS ISSUE?

They have factory bulbs for all delco radios. They do repairs too, some members have used them.

This post got me off my butt since I have a number of bulbs out. Placed my order and now just need to find the time to tackle it.

lol its a bitch to get the little screws out. I just did mine yesterday at work, but completely tore mine down to componets and cleaned the housing cause it looked like the top of a TV that hadnt seen a rag in 6 months.

what is the procedure to change the bulbs in the ssei 02 radio display?...is it difficult?

In the link to corvette radios, there is an entire procedure shown for disassembling the radio and unsoldering the bulbs. The whole idea of the bulbs being soldered in isn't so bad but the fact that they just don't last would seem to be just another "better" idea from GM.
