lol its a bitch to get the little screws out. I just did mine yesterday at work, but completely tore mine down to componets and cleaned the housing cause it looked like the top of a TV that hadnt seen a rag in 6 months.

In the link to corvette radios, there is an entire procedure shown for disassembling the radio and unsoldering the bulbs. The whole idea of the bulbs being soldered in isn't so bad but the fact that they just don't last would seem to be just another "better" idea from GM.
