I prefer the L67 to the N*. More reliable and higher performance. My L67 has 262hp and 337 ftlb stock. That vs. 275hp and 275ftlb the N*. The 240hp and 280 ftlb the L67 is rated at is rubbish. Its much better than that. Especially tourque wise.

Keep your 2001 and buy the GXP..... and if after a while you decide the GXP doesn't work for you sell it, if you like it then sell your 2001, you won't take that much of a hit. Besides you only live once.

That would only work out if you decided that the GXP was the car for you. After a car is sold the first time, the hit that the resale value takes is horrible. You wouldn't want to try to sell it a short amount of time after you purchased it. KBB value on the GXP with 185 miles is $22k private party sale and suggested retail value is $25k.

My advice would be to take the car for a test drive. See how it fits you as compared with the SSEi. Also, take a ruler with you to measure the smile you have under WOT in either car and compare (just kidding). In all honesty, you have to drive them both before you can choose.

Perhaps but you won't get the money on your 2001 as a trade in over selling it outright. Buy the GXP and keep you old one as your winter beater.

Have you looked into a 04 or 05 GTO?

As I stated earlier by quoting the private party sale price vs. trade-in value of his current SSEi. If he had infinite funds, having both might be an option.

I think I am gonna test drive the GXP next week. My ONLY hang up is going from a car that is paid for to a new monthly payment...

I will let you all know what I do next week...

Or you can wait for the Grand Prix GXP. I think it comes out summer 05. 290 hp. More than Bonneville.

By the way, you can simply buy the front and rear facia from the GXP/SSE models and have them painted your car'* color and install them... bing, GXP

Side cladding is different, but still will look good.

The ssei is faster, and always will be compared to the Northturd :(

Northturd? I like that! Gave me a good laugh - which I need right now. Work sux...

Went last weekend to take another look at her. I checked out KBB for the $$$ on mine and theirs. Of course, the dealer will give me KBB on mine but NOT on theirs. Sales guy gave me the "oh well you cannot use that ona new car".

F him.

I'll be in touch...
