Angry 2000 SSEi Steering Column

Hey guys I've removed my steering column and the stud that is hollding something ( I THINK ) well I accidently took it out. How bad did I screw up and what do I have to do to fix it. Looking at the steering column it would be the left stud closest to the firewall.

Default HELP 2000 Bonneville SSEI Steering Column

I'll try to be a bit more descriptive here, I removed my steering column and while removing the the column I accidentaly removed the lower left stud that is supposed to be holding something in the dash. Can Anyone tell me what it is holding. How important is it and what all do I need to do to get the dash apart. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Here is a picture under dash pointing to the spot
