Well it'* time to sell my '94 SSEi cause I'm picking up a 2000 SSEi off of E-bay for under 10k (high mi) but anyway there was not much I could and was willing to do to the '94. I paged through this section and just wanted to get a low-down on mods and how they do and common issues with the '00 SSEi'*.
Welcome to the '00 club (we seem to have quite a number of them here)!
Some common problems that I am aware of are the hydrolics for the ABS (there'* a recall so get it checked out), leaking trunks (true of all the newer models as far as I know), Torque Converter Clutch lock up problems (usually a *clunk* and/or shudder at 45-55 mph when the wieght is shifted to the rear...like when going up large hills), and that'* about all I know of. They're great cars...congrats.

Thanks for the info and I read the thread that there are @least 2 recalls I have to see if the cars got. As for the trunk leak where is it leaking @?
I have not had the water leak happen to me. but i assume that it happens somewhere in the sealing area where the trunk lid closes. next time you wash your car, hose off the rear window and stand next to the rear lisence plate, with no shoes on. You will see what I mean.

Well I got it. Only issue it the gas gauge acted funny till I reset the fuel QTY used and range setting. WTF up with the car not letting you dimm the dash lights till it'* ready with the automatic light setting turned on. The PCM is throwing 2 codes for the TQ converter shoot I forgot the codes but over all- all I can say is Dammm! If anything could change my mind about a good RWD car this one could. Who made the 12 disk changer I'd like to get a 2nd mag but don't want to go through GM.

OK this should be a easy one but it'* kicking my A@@ - back seats to get at the batt and fuse box. How do they pop out? I read the owners book and well I'm stumped.
Also- How do you drain the coolant? I can't find a pecock where it should be on the radatior.

Hailey, Just saw your post. And I thought I was the only one with the TCC lockup. I get the same thing (sometimes) on my 92 SE. Usually between 45-50mph. Getting a tranny flush this week per advice of others. Nice Bonnie you got.
Rosco,
I had the same problem with the back seat after reading the manual. Heres what you do, tuck the seat belts back out of the way, a bit awkward but reach across the seat and grip the bottom rail with both hands and pull straight up hard. Almost jerk it up, when the front comes up pull it out towards the dash, tilt it then out the door.
The illustration in the manual makes it look easy but it takes a bit of force.
Hope this helps
