I've never had a problem with MAF cleaner in a can or any canned electronics cleaner. The stuff is made for sensitive equipment and you certainly don't want to risk damaging the thin wire in the MAF by touching it with anything.

Checked the wire and were fine. unplugged the maf and still ran rough. cleaned it and ran a litle bit better but still have the error code. im thinking that ill replace it, dont want to but i will bite the bullet on this one. also tonight i started my car and it was running good so i took off and the servive stability system.... will my scanner tell me whats wrong? if not whats the most common thing that will set that off? i know that my fuel sender is bad cause the gauge wont work well, but what will cause my coolent not to work right? its like when i stop my car lets say its running at 200 ten minutes later ill start it back up and it will be way past the red. but let it sit over night it will work fine. could this be a grounding lproblem or what. ever since i bought the car my oil psi was peged "changed the sensor and fixed it" but its like all my gauges are just funky. ive had this car for 3 weeks now and its been nothing but problems. my 88 bonnie was a dream but with this one all i seem to have is problems. i also have a leak in my exhaust before the cat, could this be a cause for any of my problems too. and one more thing is only my driver window works, i know that the other ones most likly have broke but why would the door locks not work and the dome lights wont turn on when the doors open. i can only lock the drivers door with the power locks and thats the only door that will engage the dome light. thanks guys for all your help.
