Default 2000 SSEi gauges

Like a few ive seen the gauges needed to be replaced. My oil pres was bad when i got the car and I changed the sender worked fine. My tach and speedo work for short drives. Now my gas gauge reads low alot!!. but my miles till empty works fine. do i need to get that connectoer thing for the fuel level in the tank or is that fine? Also is getting a new cluster the way to go? or is there something im missing

With everything that'* going on with the cluster, it sounds like a new cluster is what you'll need.

Is your gas gauge sweeping when it gets low/full? and yes, the gals used will be pretty close. That'* what I used till I fixed the sender. My oil press just went max recently as well, guy at the shop says "bad sender-common problem"

Sounds like the cluster is going bad, you can pick one up for not too much (compared to new) from some guys I know, let me know if you are interested

yeah common problem, no sweep from left to right on ignition is bad cluster. I know we charge $300 for a New cluster programmed and documented with the correct mileage that was on the old cluster loaded on the new one (so the value of the car doesn't depreciate for incorrect mileage) obviously you can throw one in but not recommended in my opinion.

Mines not bad but on the plus side I was going replace my SE cluster with an SSEi Cluster so I have the DIC so itll be nice to have the correct mileage no discrepancies on the title vs. SOS.

Default SSEi Gauge repair

My daughter just had the six gauges on her 2004 SE repaired for $185 in Dallas. Each gauge uses a small servo motor. The ones that go first are the speedo and tach due to their constant fluctuations. The guy popped the unit out and replaced each of the motors. Just some minor soldering is all that he did. Better than $650 that a dealer wanted. No odometer work was required. Sorry, but I don't have the part # for the motor, but he said they're available on the Web.

I'm no expert on 2000-2005 Bonnevilles, but isn't the mileage module just a separate, swappable component?
