Most likely your steering position sensor on your steering column. You need a GM Tech 2 to read any codes associated with this message. Unfortunately this might mean a trip to the dealer.

Do you get "service stability system" on the DIC, or stability system active? Any ABS or traction control issues? As Bill mentioned, a bit more information would be helpful.

As Chris said, the most common cause for the service stability system has been the steering position sensor. There are other possibilities, also...wheel speed sensors, lateral accelerometer, yaw sensor....
