He kinda brought that on himself. After having his stereo stolen the first time, he installed razor blades so the next thief cut himself pretty bad. Well, shortly after that; probably the same guy who cut himself cut the center section out of the dash. It was ugly.

umm... let me ask this... just curious.... where was the car and why didnt anyone hear the chainsaw??? thats not a bad security feature..razor blades under the door handle... put a little waring sticker in the corner of each window.. that would be great!! but the down side would be what happen to your friend!

The car was parked on the street next to the college. It was at night on the weekend, and most people didn't even look when an alarm went off because it was so common. The razor blades were under the dash.

ahh!! yes that is very sad thing.. no one looks anymore when car alarms go off.. i sometimes do. out of habit.. i use to have one on my cougar... but it went off sometimes for no reason... damn short in the lines!

What is the diffrence between them? Also what kind of tool do you need to remove the vin plate/ or what size is the rivit?

use a drill bit that is a little bigger than the center of the rivit. but why are drilling it out? its rivited to the car... your new dash should just sit right over it
