Default 180 Tstat #?

Ok......Maybe I'm just old........But I've looked about everywhere for a 180 Tstat for this 02 SE.
Anyone got a part #?.......and a place to buy one.
Thanks

http://www.zzperformance.com/zzp/pro...thermostat.htm

Try this one or you can get a standard 180 stat from the GrandPrixStore.com

Default 180 T-Stat or 160 T-Stat?

Silver,

I checked that site becuase everything I've seen here in the Bonneville site recommends the T-Stat as the FIRST modification you should make. My question is that everyone has said use the 180 T-Stat (down from the 195 Factory one) but the site you listed says it reccomends the 160 T-Stat....I've heard that it'* actually bad to use the 160 T-Stat because it'll throw codes....what do you all think? Just wanted to clarify that.

By the way, I have a 2001 SSEi.

Thanks!
Jason

I thought that too Jason.......
There is an arrow on that window that says "160 Tstat"
click on that and you can change it to the 180.......Then you can order it.
I wouldn't use the 160 for normal driving........that'* a "race only" Tstat.
Good luck

I just changed my 195 stat on my 2000SSEI to the 180 and I live in Colorado.
I've notived the 195 had a hole in it, right where you supose to drill the 180. Do you really gain anything by adding the 180 since the 195 is drilled? What are the exact advantages or disadvantages of drilling the new 180 stat? do you want to drill 1 or 2 holes?
