I just noticed that there are be these plastic bumper things that are attached to the hinges and stop the trunk from opening up too far...mine are busted off and laying in the trunk....anyone got any ideas on how to take care of this problem....superglue would be a cheap quick fix I guess....since mine are in such bad shape I can't even tell how they attach to the hinge to see if I can take a pair off a car at a junkyard...

They are held on by little plastic push-in retainers. You should be able to pick up the retainers at any autoparts store. There should be holes in the support arms of the trunk lid that the bumpers will line up with. I assume that you could also use a small bolt with washers on it to keep the bumpers in place.
