Default 00-03 hoods

Are the hoods the same for all the years listed and for all models? I'm looking at a 03 SSEI that needs a hood and was wondering if one off other years and models will fit. Thanks.

My understanding (no fact to back it up) was that this was only a 00/01 issue. But I don't follow the issues well enough with the 2k hoods to know for sure, so correct me if we've seen an 02 do this.

i test drove an 02 SSEi at the local dealer which had the beginnings of the herpes on the underneath lip of the hood, but it hadnt gotten around to the top side

maybe it was an early model..?

My 02 has it under front edge too. Didn't make it to the top yet. It seems to start at the seam where the outer "skin" meets the inner structure. Mine is about an inch and a half wide at the widest point and three quarters of the way across.

I would get it into the dealer and pester them to fix it I f I had an 02 or newer, they may fix it if you pester them enough.
