Lugging as in uphill? The PCM takes many factors into consideration... Sounds like you were under just enough load to warrant the release and lockup of the TCC... Doesn't sound like a gear change... This is normal for crusing the road under diffrent load and grades... even at 65 mph in 4th gear, thats still a heavy load, and the added throttle will cause the TCC to unlock... Much further and you will have had a downshift..

sometimes it did it on hills, but it was mostly on flat roads, when i would just pick up 5mph to pass someone.

If you have An Advance auto parts, which could be Discount/Advance, Parts america, among a few other names... You should be able to get the NGK TR55 plugs, also they have the Autolite professional series wires as well... All of the other mentioned brands are good as well..
