Default wtf

OK i was driving my Bonnie out to the mall yesterday to meet my wife and a friend and the car did great, but on the way back is when it had a problem about half way back to the house i couldn't get it to go above 3k and since i was on back roads i figured as long as it gets me home i will be ok. well it did get me home but once we got there (after trying to figure out how far i could push the peddle before it stopped revving up) it died and did not want to start again. i waited about three hours and tried again it started but sounded like it was really struggling, with the hood popped u can hear the intake really sucking it sounded like a vacuum cleaner but as soon as i touched the gas *poof* she died again. any ideas as to the cause of the problem. thanks in advance.

i don't think that would cause the "vacuum cleaner" noise though.... at least not underhood.
