Are wiring harnesses interchangable?

If you are doing this with a 96 it should be ok will check diagrams. Problem is most newer cars gauges are controlled by the PCM through data lines. One example is between 96 and 97 SSEi gauges the fuel gauge the 96 PCM taps off the line going to the gauge and on the 97 the PCM feeds the gauge. Dan
