Getting ready for the winter in my 95SE non SC.
Oil change
Coolant drain/refill(peak 50-50 premix) w/water pump lube
Rotate tires
New wiper blades

Did fuel pump/filter, serpentine belt, tune-up in Summer 2005
This will be my 2nd winter on the battery.

Anything else to get while weather is still bearable???

Greese the front and rear fittings.

Only things left is a good wash and wax, then a vacuum and general cleaning of interior.

Windshield Washer system in good working order?

Just what the @#$% does Water Pump Lube do? I'm sure that stuff doesn't hurt anything but is it really going to lubricate the Water Pump???

Other than that, I would check the tire pressure (between 30 & 32 psi) and make sure the compact spare has 60 psi in it.

And if you're really serious about winter driving, I personally would drive with Snow Tires on all for corners

I would grease or lube your door hinges to. My 98 and my 95 get really stiff if I don't do this before winter.-Toddster

Here are the steps
1) Oil change
2) park in garage
3) drive beater all winter
4) remove from garage when weather warms up.


That is my plan. Basically because I have a leaky car and access to both things above. For the winter I would say make sure your tires are good. I had a regal I swear had 4WD because the tires handled so well in the snow.

Waterpump lube is added to the coolant and is sometimes considered a cooling system lubricant/conditioner.
