Default Will this battery fit?

I noticed today that the batter I replaced on my car is WAY too small in CA'* and CCA'* 500 CA'* and 400CCA'* to be exact. I was wondering if a Gold-Duralast 78-DG 1000CA/800CCA'* is too big?

The battery number on the side is 65, its an aftermarket CarQuest battery (and it sucks btw). It was the only one at the time that they had available and I was in dire need of one. I want to replace it now with the Duralast battery.

That is the battery I just put in....it will be fine and you'll appreciate the 800-1000 CCA.

Default Re: Battery

I had two similiar problems with my 2001 Grand Am battery. It had a smaller size one, and ran WAY different when I replaced it with the correct size battery. My brothers 1990 Grand Am LE (2.5 liter Tech4) had the same issue. His starter would barrelly crank over when it was cold outside. This battery should double my CA'* and CCA'* and I bet that all the little random electrical bugs I get on occasion will probably stop happening.
