Will 92 side lamps fit on 96

My friend has 96 bonneville se and is missing the side lamp one side. I have extra for the side will it work on the car.

they are a different shape and they mount different

maybe he doesn't have 96 then the mount looked the same. Hopefully the rest of my parts will come tommorrow I can install then I replace rest if my broken lights on my car I will have to take some pics
