Can you get a better pic with a better neutral backround? It sort of looks like the first plug on the left is a bit white/clean, but I cannot realy tell in those pics.

I was thinking the same as Lash, before I saw his comments. I'd agree with him that the one on the far left, and to a lesser degree the 3rd from the left look a bit suspect.

You want to take the picture so that we can see the other end of the plugs clearly and compare them. The end that is in the combustion chamber.

The second and fifth plugs in the middle photo (left to right) look suspiciously clean to me.

(edit: and Egad, change those suckers more often!)

I agree with your comment about the plugs Bob, but go easy on him, he just got the car, lol.

"If ever" would be my guess.

I put "100,000 mile spark plugs!" in the same category as mechanic in a can products.

UNCLE!!

LOL!

Shish!! The wires weren't any better! I have been slowly cleaning things out as I go (oil, plugs/wires, UIM/LIM, tranny fluid, brakes). This is exactly why I wanted to change'em.

Next stop is to flush the radiator and serpentine belt. I looked at it last weekend, but how the heck do you get the belt off? And can you tell me why GM wrapped it through the engine mount? Also, where'* the radiator drain plug?

Serpentine belt'* a chipshot. You just need to pull one bolt from the engine mount. Check the archives. Get the Gatorback. Before you ask, the belt routing'* on a sticker under the hood, and should be on the belt sleeve, too.

Radiator drain plug is on the driver'* side hidden behind the shroud. Hard to see.

I don't usually mess with the radiator drain plug. It is faster and easier to undo the lower radiator hose to drain the rad. The plastic/rubber petcocks tend to get stuck in place. When you try to undo them they often break.

Plugs 3, 4, and 5, (L to R) appear to me to show evidence of oil fouling, especially 3, which looks like it was not firing

Great pix!
