Default while listing all my problems with my car.....

being 17 and young only had license a year or so....... i still like to go fast and put it to floor..... backed off doing it so much once gas jumped up to 3.30 a gallon but still give a little punch across busy street or messing with friends...but on to problem...... 1st gear while at a stop or going extremely slow and go to give it some gas..... front end picks up and really takes off....... 2nd gear while starting off slow and realize i have two mins to get where im going or orange light coming up and put it to floor..... slowly gains speed like i barely have the pedal touched.... 3rd and 4th gear cruising and look for cops none around so i mash it to get the feel of being pushed back against the seat (best feeling in the world)...... front end picks up and really gains speed........

------------------------ edit---------------------------------
so in short terms 2nd gear has no power what so ever

this is a new problem or the car has always done this. Your motor and probably the gear ratio you have will not give you much in 2nd gear as your car wasn't designed to be a rocket ship.

I think you maybe referring to certain speeds at which your trans won't kick down a gear. So in turn it feels like your going slower then you should be going. My bonne does the same thing @ 40mph although speed still comes on kind of quick. It'* written into the pcm to act like that.
