Perform ride and touring ride lights are both
on and won't go off.. should i take out a loan!!!!!
i think i heard someone say this was expensive
to fix....

They are both on and not blinking, correct?

There is an error in the system or one of the struts failed.

You can check the wires going to each strut for any issues, otherwise the typical answer is you have lost the CCR function in your car.

I am swapping my struts out hopefully w/in a week to stanadrd struts and disabling the system which is still functional.

Your struts are probably in a default mode at the moment and as long as the ride quality doesn't suffer you shouldn't have any issues, except not being able to select the ride quality you want.

it'* either computer command ride or computer controlled ride

yeah..CCR...the coolest feature that always breaks and can't be fixed easily.

how does the car handle right now? The CCR (computer command ride) on my SSEi died but the car still seemed to work ok..hard to tell actually. It is sort of a "crappy" system - known for failing on these cars...

the car still handles good, i haven't noticed a difference..hopefully i won't

And being a 96 and mine a 97...soon as I get the new struts in (hopefully this week) if you need parts and GMPD says it'* the same number.. let me know.
