Whats the best most through manual to buy ?
Want a manual for my 98 Bonnie and a 99 Park Ave I have a Auto Zone special but its worthless. I need a service type that covers everything. Thanks
The GM factory shop manuals are the most detailed and thorough, including diagnostics sections, and they'll be specific to your vehicle rather than being generic to the car family. Note, though, that it takes a little while to figure out where to find the info you need when you need it. I sure wish they had a much more inclusive index.

cvc, check out the Helm Publications web site. Helm publishes the Factory Service Manuals for GM.
Yep, GM factory manuals are the only way to go. They are a little tricky to understand from the start, but the more you use them the easier they are to navigate. They have EVERYTHING in them.
You can only get them from a GM dealer (other than on-line...ebay?) but they are only like 27 bucks at the dealer (each)...some cars/trucks have 2-4 different factory manuals. Your cars probably only have 2 manuals each and they are usually catagorized into sections like body and powertrain, so if you only want the powertrain, then you can buy just the one.
I'll check to see if they offer the CD ROM version to the public yet.

I've bought them for every car since my 1977 Cutlass (first GM car).
