After you spend so much time and money into it ??

EDIT: just curious if you have checked the bolt or bolt hole.. maybe it'* warped or not sitting straight and causing your pulley to sit **** eyed.. is there more wear on one side of the pulley and or ridges where there'* bumps on the diameter?

BUT back to the alternator.. you'll be able to see the rear bearings of the alternator from the back side of tha alternator.. just lube it good.. and see if it quiets down.. then with car off.. see if you can squeeze the straw between the fins to where the armature shaft sticks out in the front and give it a quick shot or three. ( for the front.. make sure your car isn't running )

Thanks Murdock, should I give it a shot of WD 40 or lithium grease. I'm not sure why I would lube around the armature. Now is the armature the same as the stater winder...............that'* what I used to call it in my day.

Won't matter.. probably lithium just in case thats not the cause.. WD-40 may take some of the grease out instead.. You're not technically lubing the armature.. but partially the bearing.. since if there'* enough lube there it may quiet the bearings down enough for you to know that THAT'* THE PROBLEM.. your alternator..
