Actually, you'll cry when I tell you this.....

Bought the 93 about 7 months ago. When it was started it was all noisy so the owner parted with it for $1000. $175 and a harmonic dampener later, it was nice and quiet... Total investment: 1175.

Bonneville #2: 1992. Guess what?? Same thing. Owner quoted 1800 to install new supercharger and put it up for sale for 1200. 3 months later we bumped into each other and he told me if I wanted it to gove him $500 and get it out of his driveway. ANOTHER $175 later, it was quiet as ever... Total in this one including a brand new supercharger (that I gave $200 for today from a salvage that had it in the front seat of a car) is $875.

Not hogging them; I just need a daily driver for the wife and myself.

Default Color survey

1994 SSE Green metalic, silver fake wire wheels, $7,400 worth of front sheetmetal and paint recently due to following too close, only 55,000 miles and not one of them in this Michigan winter salt. Warm and dry in the garage during those months.

The 92-94'* are definitely worth looking into as you can regularly pick them up for pocket change with the problem I am talking about. I have seen them in the parts section of news papers claiming the engine has a knock. Easy way to tell if the balancer is bad is to just grab the supercharger pulley and try to rotate it each way. If you can move it at all the balancer is bad. They will usually move about 1/8-1/4 turn on the supercharger pulley.
