I left my car idling for about 5 minutes to run inside when I came out I put the car in reverse and it was sputtering with no kinda power. The oil pressure gage and the volt meter gage were jumping around. I put it in drive and it was doing the same thing. After like 30 seconds of greatly reduced power and sputtering it stopped. While it was doing this the check engine light was blinking. After this sputtering stopped it ran normal with the engine light on not blinking. Parked the car looked under the hood. Looking for something saw nothing and started the car back up. The check light was now off and was running normal. Is this code still there if I take it to Autozone. Anybody have a clue??

Here are some details on my car
98se
95000 miles
changed pcv valve, air, fuel filter, plugs and wires, cleaned throttle body all at once about 2 weeks ago.
She drives fine right now.

History code will still be there. I wouldn't worry unless the light came back.

could be anything...a bit of water in the ole gas....anything..

I give the little stuff 3 days to work itself out. Then I take action.

could even be the fuel cap wasn't closed.
