What'* the difference?
This had to be mentioned a few times, but I couldn't find anything with a search. What'* the differece between the three L67 motors? is it just a computer thing, or is there more involved? I would really like to gain another 20 hp

there are only 2 official L67 motors,
the 92-93 Series one had the gen 2 M62 SC ran a 2.55 pulley
the 94-95 Series one had the gen 3 M62 SC...ran a 2.85 pulley.....the rotors were epoxied and the TB was larger on the 94-95 and was much more efficient
the 96-03 Series 2 is totally different motor than the Series one
you no you cant just bolt on the gen 3 to your Gen 2 car and expect it ti run correctly...you CAN do the swap, but its not a simple bolt on

Other odds and ends: I believe the LIM between the 92/93 and 94/95 were slightly different also (someone correct me if I'm wrong). The M62'* also need to spin faster than the M90 (started in 96) to create boost. The boost comes on quicker as a result. The 92/93 L67 made 205hp while the 94/95 made 225hp. The Series 2 L67 made 240. I can't think of any other differences other than minor details...
If you're looking to gain 20hp, a smaller pulley and a CAI would do it. If you WERE thinking of swapping on the Gen 3 on your 92 (put your car in your sig), search for posts by willwren. He has done it on his 93, but it took some tuning to get the most out of it.

Don't forget that while the hp numbers look low, the torque is astronomical on both L67'*, and the Series 1 develops the torque peak at a VERY low rpm. The downside is that they run out of breath at the top end......until you get creative.
