could someone please tell me where the vehicle speed sensor is on a 92 bonneville with a 3800.. thank you

Under the car, you'll see where the passenger driveshaft exits the differential housing of the trans. The VSS is the sensor in this housing. You can't miss it.

This might help some here...

This is looking straight at the transmission. As if the passenger wheel is not mounted.
The VSS is circled in yellow.

And finally, it is pretty easy to reach the 10mm bolt that holds it in place by lying on top of the engine and reaching your hand down between the engine and the firewall on the passenger side. Unclip the electrical connector; spray around the sensor with brake clean and wipe it with a cloth. Undo the 10mm bolt and pull it out. It should have an o-ring seal. Be careful not to drop dirt down into the trans. Might want to have a plug ready for the hole to keep it clean.
