Default Vacuum line. What is supposed to go here?

I replaced almost evert rubber vacuum hose section under the hood and ran into one small problem. Thake a look at the pic to see that one stud is 3/16" and the other is 1/4". Previously, there was a 1/4" hose connecting the two which caused a small leak. I managed to shove a 3/16" hose over the 1/4" stud and now the leak has stopped but it looks crappy and I'm woried that it might fall of the one end (you can see that it didn't go on very far. What does the original line look like??

OOOps, forgot to mention this too. The BCS has that V-shaped line that I would like to replace. Has anyone seen direct replacements?

Also, there is a missing foam "cap" of sorts just beside the aformentioned line. What is supposed to go there too?

That looks exactly like the one I removed. Hmmm... maybe a plactic hose clamp would work???

Thanks for going out there in the cold for me!

Just use 1/4 hose and then clamp it onto the smaller fitting. Thats whats gotta be done.
