I checked and topped off the fluid when I installed a trans cooler about a month ago. The fluid level was fine before I started. There are no leaks. Having been rebuilt about 30k ago, I was just starting to think about doing a fluid/filter change anyway. I guess I can do that, and check for any particles in the pan. :o

Give it a filter/fluid service and holler back.

Meanwhile..dig out your receipt and see if they replaced the torque converter.

I might as well do the fluid/filter. Couldn't hurt.

Converter was replaced at the time of rebuild.

I think the name of the rebuild shop was "September Transmission", because by October I'm sure they had changed names and management.

Changed the fluid/filter this morning. No change in the noise. The pan had some clutch material in it, but nothing excessive. Time for the car to go to the doctor, I guess.
