Crankshaft Pulley Question
Me again with 1992 SSEi this time. Headgasket gave up at 205k so i took everything apart, but besides headgasket i need to replace Camshaft position sensor and its behind that cover. (u know what im talking about). To take the cover off, i have to first pull crankshaft pulley off, how can i do it? It spins the crank while i try taking its bolt off. Is there a way of getting to one of the teeth on flywheel and jamming the motion? what can you guys suggest?

thks, for reply. just tried that, it wont move. im in garage on a floor, no air gun. I wonder what can i do now? lol I blocked the f wheel but there is still that tiny play in motion which takes away my force applied. anyways, any other suggestions? btw, I heard that some crank pulley bolts are off of opposite thread, u have to twist them right to unbolt it, due to rotation of engine. Which way is 92 ssei? i tried the conventional to the left.

Here'* a write up on it.

Sometimes it needs a little heat. Other times it needs a bit more, but I'm not really willing to speak of what I have done to get that bolt off. It'* really not the safest way.
