Default Trunk lock broke - no trunk release button inside car (1999)

We own a 1999 Pontiac Bonneville. Last year the trunk lock ceased working. (Key would go in but not turn.) We had the lock replaced by a professional locksmith with genuine GM lock.

The lock has stuck again.

The main problem is that the 1999 Bonneville does not appear to have a trunk release anywhere within the car. (Which is odd, because my 1989 Toyota had one.)

A dealership told me it should have one, according to the VIN number, but they couldn't find it. There'* nothing in the manual.

Anyone else either have this problem or can anyone tell me "there definately is a button and it is hidden here..."

Thanks in advance,
-Bill

the button in on the drivers door, above the pocket, below the armrest. there is also a lock out switch in the trunk, to the left of the trunk latch.

Take a look at your drivers door...right under the handle. Presto, there'* the button. Now just hope the lock out switch in the trunk isn't pushed the wrong way.

Edit: Fargin Travis....next time you better use proper grammer and upper as well as lower case.
