trim around windshield.
Wind noise from the top is typically your moonroof seal, or a misaligned moonroof. I'd suggest using some painters tape (at least 1".....the blue or green low-tack stuff) all around your moonroof seal on the roof to isolate the noise.
If that isn't it, I can look up the windshield trim procedure for you. I don't have time to dig right now.......

thanks willwren but i am pretty sure it is the windshield trim as i can tell it is popped up..but only since i had my car painted..would they have needed to take the trim off for some reason... :?: they said they didn't but it is popped up all around.
Maybe not, but they WOULD have had to remove your moonroof to paint around it. Unless you see evidence (paint line) that shows they didn't. Now I suspect a misalignment in the moonroof or a seal even more.
Does the moonroof open/close freely, and does it sit perfectly flush when it'* closed?

they didn't remove it they taped it off i can tell plus i saw it when it was taped off..it opens/closes as normal no difference but i can check the noise by putting tape on there..
