What does this mean?
Ok about 3 weeks ago i bought a 1992 SSEI and everything has worked perfect since well yesterday i was driving home from a doctors appointment and everything was fine, i went around a tight curve and let off the gass and the car just like stalled right there, engine turned off , power was still working but the engine just quit, well i pulled off to the side of the road and started her right back up no problem, no service engine lights were on so i thought i was good, well it seems like everytime id let off the gas and apply the brake it would do it again, a total of 3x by the time i got home. What could be wrong, any ideas?

I have the exact same problem on my 93. I can't let the tank fall below 1/2 anymore. And i have a new fuel pump. i can't remember if it came with a new strainer or not....i guess it didn't. But my problem happened all at once--its not like the strainer shrank one day.

The problem can become more apparent as your strainer plugs up with tank crud over time. It may also be worse if your strainer assembly has developed pinhole leaks in the neck area (still inside the tank). Not all the fuel goes out to the filter/fuel rail then. You may be suffering from one of these problems, or more likely, a combination of the two.
