Very well could be. Jack the RF wheel up, and play with the wheel. Check for wheel bearing slop by wiggling the wheel. Then turn the tire back and forth and check for slop. How much does it move? What does it sound like? Try this on both fronts and compare.

If any of your CV boots are torn, you can almost plan on replacing some hardware. It doesn't take much grit to destroy it.

My CV boot was recently torn, thankfully my mechanic found it early. He told me that left unfixed, I could need a new axle in the future.

Very true. You're lucky. I've seen a car run only 2 days with a tear, and destryed the axle.

Turn the ignition off, then shake the car up and down, side to side. Turn it on and check again. Check the connections at the back of the cluster. It'* either the cluster or the sending unit.

Ken, you can get a GM factory remanufactured unit from Napa, I believe. There are cheaper alternatives as well at Schucks, Knechts, Autozone, etc.

Don't even think about it. Black magic. Maybe a torque converter replacement, but not a rebuild. Even our best trans guys here wouldn't attempt it.
