Yeah, shes gunna have more get up and go.
This summer i ran a 14.5...if i could pull off decent launches identical to which i was doing, with the 3.29 gearing and ONLY that, along with my current mods..what do you think it would pull, just by having that little bit more bottom end?

i can tell you that the 3.29'* are a GOOOOOOD feeling....

and you wont need a PCM reprogram...you can get a VSS reluctor wheel so the PCM interpertes the trans just like the stock one

Ok, so i researched this project, but not enough.
I have learned from a few locals who have done the same thing, that the pcm will not accept the new ratio, and could go into limp mode, or simply loose OVERdrive.
Reluctor wheel in trany needs to be changed, and a speedo recalibration
SO.
Stage two shift kit @ 2.93 ratio is were i will be
I can make this go fast, without that

It would only cost you $200 to have your PCM reprogrammed by INTENSE. :?

Aww come on Matt......go for the 3.6 ratio like Rogue. :P

i agree with Paul....the VSS reluctors are VERY common when doing a Gear swap, and then the PCM interperetes the VSS accurately....and then if you dont wnat to go that route have intense put the correct ratio

i still believe that you should at least go to the 3.29'*

I spoke with Todd today, the PCM can be changed for that ratio, however, they have not had much luck with it in the past. These peices are readily available to me locally, and the cars insurance Expires on the 13th. He can have the car back to be by Friday possibly. To much of a hassle, I'm not spending much more than I have to right now either, im still paying for my other car (Im not even gunna go there)

No worries Matt, there are other ways of shaving 1/2 second off your time.

.....and you'll have a freshened trani to transmit all that power into clouds of rubber smoke.
