Thanks Guys.. The upper intake manifold and gasket from the old engine have only been ran for 3 weeks. They were both replaced when the original UIM cracked/corroded/degraded and let antifreeze into the bottom end, ultimately leading to the bearing failure which submarined this motor. I think I'm safe to use this UIM again.

As for the lower gasket, I went ahead and unbolted the LIM .. already has an aluminum gasket. Looks like the replacement engines come with it now??

what youre calling the new engine is the one whit the dirty LIM that a engine from the scarp yard .and yes you can use the upper from the old one is its only 3 week old just put rtv in the corner and torque to specs dont forget its 89 inches pound for the upper
