Blownville, If you find that you have a 2.84 Trans in the Buick and you want to use it... Let me know as I have found that one of my 95 EPROM'* is for an L36 with the 2.84 ratio...
If you want it I will send it you...
If anything you'll have less performance but a little better fuel mileage

Hmmm thats really interesting...
This is a 1996 2.84 Trans with the 30 Tooth Reluctor for the VSS, its also a 1420 stall converter... So this trans should be the same as a 1994-1995 2.84... So this means the EPROM I have will work for you...
I will get it sent out tomorrow... Its all packaged up so I'll USPS it in the morning...

Awesome!! I really appreciate it. Is there anything else I need to swap that has to do with the VSS, or will your EPROM handle that? My brother is on his way to the wrecker with the car but he kept the computer. He said it looks like a brand new unit and is gonna give me the numbers off the EPROM when he gets back from the yard so I can post it for you to decode? Not sure how to decode the EPROM either.

We will decode the EPROM for the LeSabre for you..
I included a Little sheet of Paper that describes what the EPROM in the package is for...
But do post those numbers... and being that the PCM is from a 94... Keep it for your car as sooner or later that 95 PCM will fail on you.... The 94 PCM is the same as the 95....
Also the Chip should handle the VSS signal iirc..

Well I looked it up and that makes perfect sense...
That is a 1994 EPROM for the 2.84 Gear ratio and the L27 3800... Perfect Match for the car it came from

Well the trans is in and working perfectly along with a new radiator, PS cooler, and soon to be a tensioner assembly warranty. Thanks again for all the help and thanks JR for the EPROM it works like a charm.
