4T60e question on '92 Bonnie..
Hey guys. On the 92 SSEi I bought it has the push buttons for the Tranny as far as Performance Shift and Normal shift. Should I see a significant difference between the two?? Also should I see a light or anything illuminate when you push the Traction control button? I see no difference from either one being selected. Are there fuses or relays I should be looking at?
Thanks guys...Kenny

The traction control is to help you keep from spinning your tires. There is now light that I know about. The performance shifting actualy is the normal shifting for cars with out the option and with norml it is actualy like a economy shift. Some members were testing that a couple weeks ago the thisg is the rpms that the car shift at are different.

The shift modes will change the RPM you shift at only at WOT. You need to do a major throttle dump in each mode, and watch where it shifts. You'll see the difference.
Traction control is easy to test this time of year. The only lights are the one on the button itself, and the dummy light on the dash if the system *****.
Try spinning the tires when it'* wet in each mode.

I own a 1992 Bonneville SSEi. To turn off the traction control you should push the button when the car is stoped and on. A Traction off light will come on on the dash board. For the performance and normal shift, you won't see a difference unless you punch the gas. I use normal shift for normal driving.
