what can i do to strengthen my tranny and prolong the life of it?

Performance parts would help, sounds like that is out of the question though. Bill had his transmission cooler replaced with his rebuild, they found it had a bad flow rate. This would be something to check.

Why are one-wheel-wonders so bad for the tranny? WHat do they do to the tranny wear down the diff?? Dont our cars have a normal differential?

We have an open diff, but in a straight line, can lay twins any time. The problem with one-wheel wonders is ALL the engines hp and tq is applied to only ONE side of the diff instead of being equally spread across both sides.

hmmm let me add this into this post... WHen my car was cold i could do some major one wheel burns... when my car warmed up i had no power to the wheels at all (in terms of spining them off the line) COuld this be that when the trans was cold the tranny performaed better and when it warmed up it loss power and performed worse? Well just talked to the tranny guy i will have the car today

That'* a sign of major slipping in the trans. It'* typically worse when warm, but on a fresh rebuild, that tells me they didn't replace everything they should have, or put it together wrong. Clutch material or fine particles of metal can cause that when the trans reaches normal operating temperature.

If alot of those fine particles were in the old blown trans, they may have plugged the core in the radiator for the trans cooling, effectively restricting flow. It'* a good rule of thumb after a major trans failure to entirely bypass the radiator and use an external cooler exclusively.

A trans cooling problem would make alot of sense now that i think of it.... My car always runs good when cold even now with the rebuild (2nd) time when i first start it it runs awsome shifts hard but i like it, Gives it a speedy feeling...Then as the car warms up to normal i get all kinds of issues like i get major super charger fluttering and i haveto floor it to get the car to move a little bit.... it takes about a mintue to get up to 60mph when my car is warmed up..... wtf is that all about plus i have the bad parts in my trunk ill take pictures tonight

Just fixed mne, No reverse, No 2nd gear = stove pipe, part looks like a stove pipe, If he did not replace the stock one with the hardened one this is common
